MAUMEE, OHIO –To meet consumer demand for fiberglass doors in hardwood grains with ¾-glass options, Therma-Tru Corp. has introduced the Fiber-Classic® Mahogany Collection™ 3-Panel Style Door. The door can be ordered as a solid, opaque unit or configured for either ¾-rectangle or ¾-oval lites in 17 different decorative glass options, plus four privacy options, clear Low-E and clear glass.
“The ENERGY STAR® qualified doors are an affordable fiberglass door option featuring rich, premium hardwood graining,” says Derek Fielding, senior product manager of doors at Therma-Tru Corp. “Like all Therma-Tru doors, the new Mahogany 3-Panel Doors are constructed for strength, security and performance and will not rot, warp or fade under harsh climate conditions. Solid door styles can also be ordered in fire- and impact-rated versions.”
Selection of the new Fiber-Classic Mahogany Collection style for the main entryway of the home provides builders and homeowners with the option of creating a cohesive look throughout the remainder of the house by selecting other Fiber-Classic® Oak Collection™ or Smooth-Star® options for secondary entry areas. This expanded selection provides homeowners with more options for selecting similar three-panel door styles throughout the home that can have different graining options.
“We’ve matched up the best of two worlds with this new product introduction,” says Fielding. “Hardwood grains, like mahogany, continue to hold popularity with homeowners. At the same time, 3-panel doors are some of the top sellers at Therma-Tru, showcasing the homeowners’ preference for this simplistic and elegant style. This door definitely embodies the elegance of a rich, premium hardwood grain in a low-maintenance fiberglass door that meets the needs of value-driven consumers.”
Therma-Tru offers the company’s four new privacy glass options of Chord, Chinchilla, Rainglass and Granite in the doorlites for the 3-panel door, along with 17 decorative glass designs. “Whether a homeowner wishes a simple, clear Low-E glass in the doorlite or a stunning decorative Avonlea™ glass, we have the glass options to accommodate almost any request imaginable,” says Fielding. “And, for maximized energy efficiency in the home, when this door is ordered as an opaque, solid unit, the polyurethane foam core offers up to four times the insulation value of most wood doors.”
This newest door style joins the Fiber-Classic Mahogany line, which was introduced in 2009. The line features high-definition panel embossments sought by hardwood door lovers in both 6/8 and 8/0 configurations and comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
